The heroes (Taarna, Rhom, Esmerelda with Drusilla, Corvin, Saanau, Visglir, Ichi, and Aeronne) descend the tornado with the help of Ibrahim. The cloud is much darker and wetter now. They group meets first three, then five, then seven wind walkers. In exchange for passage, the heroes surrender a magic item and promise to return these beings to the Plane of Air. Finally, the party meets a ki-rin that aids them and helps them along to the lowest level of the cloud. There, the party battles five bones devils (that gate in two more!) before meeting up with the Great Worm, Satan. The former Duke of Hell manages to corrupt Ichi into turning against Rhom before he is forced away. The group then meets the cloud dragon, Bangalore. Rhom smites the dragon, nearly taking out his own mother even though the strike was to subdue. Ichi nearly kills the old woman but stuns the dragon, allowing Saanau to reach the baby, Squall, and teleport him to safety. Cirria helps transport the rest of the heroes back to Nimbus and Cerulea's sky island where they rest the night with Acorn, Ibrahim, Cirria, and Starwind.
The following morning, Esmerelda dimensional folds the party to Klarr. From there, Rhom and Taarna head to Dyvers along with Acorn to speak with Donner Greycloak, high priest of Odin. The group arrives in Dyvers three days later and have an audience with the cleric the following day. Donner agress to restore Acorn, though the party agrees to pay for it. The three then return to Klarr.
