The party (Idky, Maedhros, Yavin, Artec, Katya, Hamish, Gilean, Moonleaf, Remort, and Twyll) figures out a way to deal with Gilean and Remort's brain cravings. Then, after about a week, Borlon teleports the party back to the portal off Torsh. They prepare to pass through the gate. The color is sparkling gold when the group goes through.
The party emerges inside a large and very dark cavern where they are attacked by a swarm of fourteen short shadows, three dark elves, a stone giant, a drider, a "lion dragon," six ghouls, and six ghasts. Upon emerging, Idky realizes that he has been transformed into a centaur! As Idky, Hamish, and Artec get swarmed, Yavin attempts to mesmerize the non-undead but isn't successful.
As Twyll enters, he sees the melee and casts camouflage on himself, Artec, and Yavin. The psis notice that this new world is sending out "psionic static." As Remort comes through (looking like Maedhros), a succubus flies down out of invisibilty and attempts to scoop him up but misses. Then one of the female drow runs up with preternatural speed and attacks Remort, seemingly angry. Maedhros steps through and starts to turn. The female drow and the succubus notice and cry out to kill the "cleric of the elven god."
Yavin attempts to mesmerize again and gets the drider, stone giant, and the drow wizard. Katya casts sever at the succubus, but magic resistance protects her. Artec, who had been severely wounded in the chest by the undead benefits from Twyll's spell. Now effectively hidden the ogre-archer catches his breath, recovers his wits and strength, and starts shooting arrows into the melee. Finally, the lion dragon realizes there's a fight going on. It directs some magical effect at Maedhros, which severely impairs his next action.
Idky leaps out of the midst of his opponents and stays in midair to activate a bead of blessing on the party. Hamish gets swarmed with more undead, while Artec kills the drow mage. Katya casts waterbolt at the dragonne, forcing it out of the cavern, but it can fly. Yavin immediately mesmerizes it, sending the dragonne plummeting off the cliff. Gilean and Moonleaf move to get the female drow off of Maedhros as he continues to destroy undead. She nails Gilean squarely in the chest with one of her maces, breaking over a dozen ribs. The jedi is immobilized and crumples to the ground. Using his new doppleganger physiology, Gilean shifts his body and after shifting himself into a yuan-ti, manages to stand back up and somewhat function again. The succubus now manages to scoop up Remort and heads to the cliff with him. The psi, however, activates his time step power and gets away from her. Idky attacks the demoness as she turns back into the cave. Artec and Katya finish off the last of the unturned ghasts.
Hamish moves to help out with the female drow. The succubus attempts to suggest that Idky heal her downed comrades, but he resists and continues his attack. Remort, during his time step, notices that the entire mountain is glowing temporally. Katya and Artec now start on the drider, trying to kill it before it slips out of Yavin's mesmerize effect. Twyll casts fiend fire on the female drow. Her magic resistance protects her, but he sets off a wild magic surge, and his eyes turn completely white.
The dragonne now returns to the cavern, very angry. The succubus sets off a wild surge when she casts gate. Her brains leak out of the pores of her face. Artec finishes off the drider and starts on the dragonne. It roars at the party but only manages to deafen Remort. The succubus falls to the ground from her injuries, so Idky drops to the ground and casts prayer. Remort, seeing the succubus' brains, can't resist and runs over to start cracking open her head to get to the delicacy inside. Katya casts sever at the female drow (since she doesn't think she's really a drow). Her magic resistance save her. She also shrugs off a hold person from Maedhros.
The dragonne casts some evil effect on the party. It stuns Hamish, Twyll, and Artec. Idky attempts to casts rock to mud under the giant, but for some reason he doesn't have enough connection to his god for such a high level spell. The female drow sends the dragonne after Remort to save the succubus. He psionic blasts the dragonne and the succubus (who has just stood back up) and misses them both.
Katya casts monster summoning V. Something's coming, but it's delayed. Gilean turns into the succubus and attacks the other one. The dragonne takes out Idky, and he crumbles near death. The female drow takes Moonleaf to near death, so she runs and changes shape to heal. Artec recovers from his stun and kills the dragonne. Katya pours a potion of healing down Idky's throat, but it isn't enough to revive him. Then two gigantic iridescent beetles fly in and Katya directs them to attack the female drow, which distract her.
Yavin casts throwing star and hurls them at the giant, releasing him from the mesmerize. Gilean also starts attacking him. Remort mind thrusts him, befuddling him for a moment. Katya casts shadowbolt at the giant from her wand. Artec starts shooting arrows at it. Katya uses the wand on the drow, and it affects her! Yavin casts faerie fire, but only gets the giant. Gilean takes out the giant. At that point, the drow says "This isn't over!" and dissolves. A vampire, maybe?
