As the party (Idky, Maedhros, Yavin, Artec, Katya, Hamish, Remort, Gilean, Moonleaf, and Borlon) heads back toward the sleeping party members, they find Borlon peeking out the door wondering what happened and why he is now 16 years old. Katya appears to be affected although Kinsa does look a bit younger, and both are still napping. Fortunately, Dagaru escapes the effect. They fill him in on what happened.
About five minutes before the nap is supposed to end, Moonleaf hears a bunch of voices out in the hallway. Apparently, some of the creatures get too close to the door and get feared by Moonleaf’s fear aura. Borlon casts silence over the nappers so they’re not disturbed by the probably impending battle. Yavin and Gilean go into the silence to meditate. The rest prepare to engage anything that might come through the door. The voices appear to be having an argument. A fight breaks out amongst them. After a couple minutes, the door blows off its hinges. Appearing in the doorway is a hill giant with many spear wounds. Another hill giant and two ettins are also there. Behind them are four ogres who have been pounded into the floor.
Artec starts shooting, while Hamish keeps them in the doorway. Borlon attempts to telepathically burrow into the mind of one hill giant and interrogate him. Unfortunately, the contact is abruptly broken by Artec’s arrows. They bring the last ettin unconscious. Borlon asks to keep him alive so he can mindrape him.
They set up new positions in the hallway to meet anything else that may come. Meantime, the nap spell wears off and the nappers awake. Idky drops a heal on Hamish. Just then, they hear a commotion as 14 ogres, a vrock, a hezrou, a drider, four large spiders, a giant spider, a yochlol, 26 manes, and two female drow move down the hallway toward them. Accompanying them are 8 shadows.
Hamish and Artec block the hallway to hold them back, while Maehdros destroys shadows and Borlon starts casting a spell. The drider casts lightning bolt at Artec and Maedhros. It also sets off a side effect, which targets one of the ogres and in a ten-foot radius around it, and he continues to arc electricity till he’s dead. The glabrezu psychic crushes Artec and kills him, the Archer's head exploding. The yochlol attempts to dominate Hamish and fails. A yochlol starts to materialize in the hallway outside the nap room Moonleaf sees and runs toward it. Borlon completes his spell, wall of fire, and drops the wall down the hallway onto their opponents. That clears out a lot of the weaker foes.
The newly-materialized yochlol moves to attack Borlon. The other yochlol moves through the flames to attack Hamish. One of the drow dispels the wall of fire . . . and her own prayer! The other one moves up and psionically attacks Hamish unsuccessfully. Katya gets the meditators out of the silence to let them know there’s trouble in the hallway. She slaps the 5-year old Remort, who starts crying.
The drider casts magic missile at Hamish and sets off another wild magic surge. It opens a 30-foot deep pit between the drider and Hamish. The drider and Hamish jump aside and avoid falling in. But a yochlol doesn’t, and she falls in (no damage), as does a manes (which dies).
Idky casts heal on the downed Artec, restoring his body before his spirit has had a chance to flee and thereby saving his life. Hamish clears the vrock off of him and moves to engage Borlon’s yochlol. Borlon, now freed, steps around the corner and psionic blasts down the hall. Yavin runs out and helps out with the yochlol on Hamish. They kill it, sending it back to its infernal mistress. The yochlol in the pit disappears. The drider jumps on Borlon. The psionic “drow” hits herself with an ego whip and runs away screaming. As she runs, her features melt away to reveal a yochlol. One of the spiders drops an id insinuation, which enrages an ogre that turns to attack it. Another ogre starts to pantomime cutting carrots. The remaining drow faerie fires a number of party members.
Moonleaf, back at her post far from the party, encounters the hezrou that ran around. It doesn’t get feared and moves to attack her. Yavin and Gilean run to defend her. Borlon continues his psionic onslaught. He critically stuns the drow and puts her into a coma. Katya casts waterbolt at the drider, which slams it into the wall and kills it. Unfortunately, Maedhros was latched onto the drider trying to attack it. He also gets slammed into the wall and drops to the floor unconscious.
The yochlol that disappeared rematerializes behind Borlon and attacks. Meanwhile, Hezrou telekineses Moonleaf and uses her as a club on Yavin. Artec gets up after downing a healing potion and starts shooting. The combat starts going better for the heroes now. Katya nabs Maedhros to get his unconscious form out of combat. She calls for a healer.
Gilean pulls off a ring and grabs onto Moonleaf trying to make her too heavy to telekines anymore. He gives her the ring and tells her to put it on and “get fat.” It works. She now appears to be too fat for the demon to teke her AND Gilean. Katya, who sees what’s going on, joins the dogpile. Borlon also sees the dogpile and mind thrusts the hezrou, forcing it into mental combat.
Hamish moves the attack the yochlol in spider form and kills her. Artec clears out the ogres stunned by Borlon’s psionic blast. Yavin kills the hezrou just as it’s about to bail.
They regroup and heal in a different room. They collect the comatose female drow for Borlon to mindrape. Then the rest of the party naps. The hour passes uneventfully (thank goodness!).
