The gnomes of Gnome Home are having a Spring Faire. Along with the dwarves of Thunderhold, many of the humans from Klarr are in attendance. Suddenly, bugbear burst in through a stone shaped hole in the ground. They grab the gnome priestess and escape. The stone reverts and only a small person can go after them. Answering the call are Kaldor, K'Tonk, Magenta, Amber, Viktor with Billi, and Dante.
The heroes battle four huge spiders. Then they slay a troll, mainly thanks to Magenta cutting off it's leg and Dante burning it. The group deals with 10 huge bats and then slays more than 20 bugbear plus children. Amber is turned into a sabre-tooth tiger via a magic potion and the heroes reach the priestess and bugbear chieftan. The party narrowly defeats the monsters and the chief runs. The priestess heals those down and the group returns to Gnome Home.
About an hour later, the party is completely healed and equipped. Rhiannon takes Dante's place. The party goes into the caverns and kills all the bugbear except a single shaman who escapes. The gnomes are very grateful.
