Katya creates a shelter (invisible) on the tropical beach for the party (Yavin, Kinsa, Artec, Hamish, Katya, Remort, Borlon, and Gilean) to rest in, while Hamish and Borlon go to explore the surrounding jungle. There don’t appear to be predators on the islands, just small birds, snakes, and lizards. Artec picks up tracks of sahuagin, snakes, birds (with raptor-like claws), large rodents, but no large creatures.
They wait out the rest of the day, keeping watch out for enemies. Borlon throws some continual light stones out onto the beach and into the water. At some point, some of them flicker out, but nothing approaches. They sleep overnight in the shelter.
Early in the morning, the building suddenly disappears (dispel magic!). Remort runs to wake up Hamish. Borlon casts continual light in the air, and brilliant daylight pours into the area, blinding the sahuagin momentarily. They are surrounded by a huge horde of sahuagin. They dispel Borlon’s continual light, returning them to normal light conditions.
Katya summons three osquips (large rats with large heads and massive teeth) to attack the sahuagin. Borlon casts prayer, and everyone finally wakes up. The party gets mobbed! And suddenly Borlon’s prayer ends (actually, the sahuagin cast their own prayer). Borlon dusts all the skeletons. Katya dimension doors out of danger. Remort time steps 20 seconds into the future. The sahuagin focus on the spellcasters and attempt to swarm them where possible.
Katya summons a griffon guarian. Borlon teleports elsewhere so he can cast spells. Kinsa goes down under a sahuagin assault and gets picked up. As Katya and her griffon get mobbed, she summons three ochre jellies. Then, Borlon creates a wall of fire to try to clear the sahuagin off Artec and Hamish. It kills 20 sahuagin.
Remort reappears and mind thrusts the sahuagin carrying Kinsa. Artec, now free, starts shooting arrows at the leaders out in the water. The one he hits has four arms. He’s badly damaged and flees. Hamish, also now free, runs to take on Katya’s opponents. The wall of fire damages the sahuagin on Maedhros and kills some, freeing Maedhros. Hamish gets held. Maedhros flees the fire. Remort dominates a sahuagin and causes him to attack the one carrying Kinsa.
Borlon psychic crushes a sahuagin running toward him. Its head explodes. Five sahuagins’ morales break, and they run away. Borlon casts another wall of fire to block access to the beach for three of them, killing them. Artec shoots at the other “leader” type and kills her. He also kills another sahuagin fleeing.
Remort gets taken out, which releases the one he was dominating. The remaining few sahuagin get slaughtered, except one that flees to the jungle. Borlon holds him.
Borlon mind rapes the captured sahuagin. He finds out that the sahuagin (about 300) have lived into an underwater city. They are desperate to defend it against humans. The city was built by humans and claimed by the sea. They fought about 40 of them and wiped out most of their sharks. They killed the priestess. The four-armed one was their prince. Some great cataclysm upended the continent on its side, and the city is on that continent.
Eeps: 1112 each
In the morning, the party teleports to the gate and step through back to Torsh. They feel like they’re falling.
While they were gone, Borlon's little girl, Maryibre, waiting with Idky tells the party that she had a dream about a black obsidian mirror. During the last moments of combat, as a man with a flaming battleaxe flew into the room, a creature passed through the mirror. But it didn’t engage them and slipped on into this world.
The party makes arrangements to get everyone to Oerth to find someone to regrow Kinsa’s thumb. They also get some iron to bring back to Torsh with them.
