The heroes (Galen, Urthur, Hagar, Rongo, Vinato, Aiden, Saytang, and Keakani with Oma) decide to spend the day in the clearing where they battled the giant lizards and captured the three women. The idea is to ambush Tikal and regain strength after the last several battles.
Just before sunset that first day, a group of eight islanders arrive -- six females and two males. They attack the party and are quickly captured. Rongo tries to dispel magic but only three are freed from the Zombie Master's charms, including the witch-apprentice, Aysel, who joins the group.
In the wee hours of the next morning, the heroes are attacked my a massive horde of undead. 51 skeletons, 48 zombies, 10 topi, 15 ghouls, as well as three giant weasels. The heroes are victorious and manage to capture 12 zombies, which go to join the six previous ones sent back to Tanaroa. Tikal escapes (again) and the heroes let one of the ancients go free as well.
