The heroes (Galen, Urthur, Hagar, Vinato, Aiden, Rongo, Saytang, and Nadia) spent a day in Tanaroa to recover their strength. The heroes ask Kamu'a to cast remove curse on Galen and the shaman agrees. The group then hikes to the tar pit. The first day out, a pair of sabre toothed cats surprise the party and slaughter Nadia. The group then encounters a flight of lupogriffs, but the creatures are content munching on dead cat. The heroes arrive at the tar pits where they toss in the cursed sword and Nadia's body. Then they're ambushed by six lizard men
The following day the group spies a group of krolli. They then encounter a naamar and his mount on a hero's quest. The young cat man joins the group and they battle five krolli, two of which escape. The heroes then set off for the lizard man lair.
As they near the lair, the party deals with several snakes and crocs before smashing their way in through the stone shaped metal door. They heroes kill many lizard men but exhaust their spells and healing. They even manage to kill a lizard king. The group falls back to the throne room and use a magic sword to bar the doors. Outside over a dozen lizard men gather...
