The heroes (Galen, Urthur, Hagar, Vinato, Aiden, Keokani, Kahana, and Nadia) rest in Tanaroa for a few days and are joined by Aolaw'ai. The group then crosses the wall to hunt down lizard men and other monsters.
The first day out, the group quickly runs into an aggressive grangeri. Without too much effort, the heroes kill and butcher the creature. They then head back to the wall, arriving after dark. Kahana scales the structure and gets Kamu'a to have the gate opened. The party gives the meat to the villagers who have a great feast.
Without waiting around, the heroes head back to where they slaughtered the grangeri, hoping to find evidence of lizard men. They do not. They do hike some ways and Urthur with Galen's help track many lizard men prints. Finally, the group comes to a large lake showing signs of quite a lot of lizard man usage. The group decides to camp overnight but before they do, they are attacked by a massive patrol of bullywugs. The heroes narrowly survive and head back to the wall the next day.
The group rests in town a couple days before again heading directly to the lake. At the lake, the group finds a hidden entrance. They reach a door which they easily breach and wind up fighting several waves of lizard men. Although the heroes slay more than two dozen of the reptiles, they are forced to flee for their life. The group withdraws to the jungle, heals a bit and waits for dawn, when they bee-line back to the wall and Tanaroa.
