The heroes (Hagar, Vinato, and Aiden) sail back with Captain Snake Eyes and Bjorn to rescue Urthur, Galen, and Kahana. When they arrive, they discover that the group has met a new woman, Nadia, a sailor who survived from the crew after being left for dead. The heroes spend the night on the shore.
After midnight, the camp is attacked by a huge force of sahuaghin. Again they use magic to snuff out the light, but this time Aiden's wyvern watches help balance the odds. The cleric tosses a hold person as well, catching three sea devils before they shred him. Similarly, Nadia uses a sleep to take out many, but is nearly killed for her efforts. Urthur and Hagar kill the majority of sahuaghin, driving the rest off. The spell-caster escapes but Captain Snake Eyes is mortally wounded.
A little more than an hour passes and another wave of sahuaghin attack. Again, wyvern watches take out attackers and Urthur and Hagar hold their own with support from Galen and Bjorn. In the end, only five sahuaghin escape, although the battle claims Bjorn.
The heroes sail back to Tanaroa, where they rest for six days and are feasted for ten more by the survivors of the village. During this time, the heroes have a small hut built and settle into a long wait among the islanders.
Later, the group volunteers to help escort a group of nine natives to the tar pits beyond the wall and back. The group encounters a small band of troglodytes, but slaughter them. They also meet a massive creature, some cross between a rhino and giraffe. They slaughter the beast for it's meat and with the tar (and a lighten load) return to the wall with quite of bit to share. They don't even bother to kill any mastadon -- they already have too much meat -- although they do kill a group of hungry sword beaks.
The heroes throw a feast of their own for two days as they share the meat they recovered and rest from their short adventure.
