While the Greeks were attempting to win the Third Panthiad, the Egyptians and Oerdians also made their bids.
Borlon, using his staff of worldwalking, shifted to Torsh first and then returned to Oerth (it didn't count), he then went to ManeƤ (already connected by Jessica, so also didn't count), from there, he quickly connected Sindareth, the "frozen world of glaciers", the ancient city of "Raal", Maldev, and the swampy world known to Ra from Lolth's Demonweb. Effectively scoring five worlds, the Egyptians came in second to the Greeks.
For Sage's part, she managed only a single world, Etheria, claim it well before the Greeks did.

Great writeup! Although aside from merely getting ripped a new one, I recall Kephaonia whipping out a long sword and valiantly holding off a wall of clawed heathens while thawing Rufus. And getting well-shredded, yet still holding on to those last 11hp...and actually poking one of them. Probably looked good. Rarr! Becoming the new Dutchess DiShane will be sooo fun. Or should I say acquring the new Mr. Kephalonia. You will recall that she is an expert....horsewoman...

What about Irontooth?? The Greeks didn't get credit for it, and I don't see it listed for any of the other teams. Was Irontooth part of a universe that had already been connected?? I'm curious out-of-game, so I can understand more about how worlds are connected...Perhaps the practical knowledge can come via Brand??

Thera fell, and he wasn't there to ward. It will be long before Andorallan smiles again. Thera fell, and he wasn't there to ward.

Howdy Kari. Good eyes. Well done.
You're right, no team seemed to get credit for connecting Irontooth. That means it must be in the same universe as another, previous-connected world. Logically, that means it must be in the same universe as Oerth, Terrax, ManeƤ, Cidri, Eon, Brand's cube's "desert world" with "ray dee ay shun", Brand's cube's "dinosaur world", Torsh, Etheria, and maybe Sindareth.

Can I just say well done and thanks to everyone for helping wrap up this third installment. It was a fantastic story arc...it's certainly one for the books!! David, when are you going to write your own modules? ? Or heck, I say the group should collaborate on a series of novels about our adventures. "The Elemental Evil Series" has a good ring to it!

Can someone please tell poor sad Andorallan that Thera is only temporarily dead? The naughty minx is frolicking in Hades, visiting dead family members and skipping around Elysia. It is part of her boon, the get our of jail free card.

Yeah, go ahead, tell him. He knows what dead is. They put her in the ground, and all the rest is just priest-talk. He wasn't there, and there isn't enough ale to wash THAT away.

Kephalonia removes a black vial from her pumpkin couldron...allows a few grains to fall into a mug of ale...a small hazy skull shaped reddish puff of smoke arises and quickly disperses... "Sure, drink this, and you'll have no worries...it's a little stronger than mere ale..."

Andorellan gasps, grabs his throat and lets out a disney-heroine-been-knocked-out shreek, completed by throwing his head back and pressing the backside of his wrist to his forehead. Then collapses to the floor...with rosy cheeks and a smile on his softly slumbering face...
"Great, I'll go scare up some birdies and little mice to watch over his glass coffin in the forest..." says Gallows.
"Hemlock is a crude and graceless poison. 'Kephalonia's Nightshade' is much gentler, tastes light and sweet, has a faster onset, and, while it'll slow down doughty fighters, the worst it will do is drop someone into a deep, deep sleep. Andorellan will awake in the morning freshly rested to face a world in which Thera has died...for a short while."

No hangover? Great!!
Andorallan will recover eventually. The romance was all in his head. After all, if his suave woman-catching skills were anything like those of his author, the unsuspecting priestess would have had no clue that there WAS one. His survior's guilt grew "coulda-been"out of the ale-mug.

Haha ar eyou kidding? Thera is ambitious, driven and spends free time talking to dead people. You'd have to club her over the head to notice. In fact, she really hasn't had much use for a love life to this point.
