Let's also remember that as an 8th level monk, Shang could kick anybody's ass in this group. Artec wouldn't get but maybe one arrow off, Sage would be limited to first level spells as would Ulaanbaatur, and everyone else would be just as screwed. With his ability to stun characters, the fight would probably be very short for most of us. This is one reason why I've chosen him for this group. When fighting things that don'tneed magic weapons to hit them, Shang kicks ass.
I think that this party is going to do well as long as they work together. Let's remember that they were all hand picked to be champions of the Seloise and Oerdian Gods. There are reasons for all of them to be here. Each person lends something special to this group. If they weren't unique and special, they wouldn't have been chosen.
Sage "You have all been chosen to be the champions of the Gods. Each and every one of you are special. You are all recognized as heroes and I am honored to have been chosen to work with you. The only things I will ask of you is that we all respect each other, work as a team, and try our hardest to please the Gods." "I know that we all have different ethics and morals, however, I know that we can work together and honor the Gods. This will be a time to remember. When we look back on our lives, the coming days will echo in our memories and the memories of others as well."
Paul, aka Sage Edulis, The High Priestess

Good job, Hon.
One thing though -- Shang SUCKS against things with good AC. Against mages and thieves, he is the master of stunning death, but not so hot against tanks. Since he gets three strikes per round, however, he's good at keep multiple spell casters busy!

PLEASE NOTE --
THE OERDIAN PANTHEIAD TRIAL *WILL* BE THIS WEEKEND!!!
This game is losing momentum. I will post the targets either today or tomorrow. Either way, however, the Oerdian's turn will be this weekend. Then it will be the Greek's turn, followed by the Egyptians.

So... we open a hole in the enemy's line for Shang to go through, or get him around a flank so he can entertian their soft spellcasters with his dazzling display of hand-and-footwork while the rest of us deal with the burly thugs. Great fun, and loot for all! Ulaanbaatar LIKES it when nice, wealthy Evil mages get pounded into mush.

Hi All,
I need to know ASAP if the following people are available Saturday for the Oerdian Pantheiad Game:
Kari Ray Craig
If there is a chance you won't be available PLEASE let me know. It was really hard putting this group together and if there are any last minute players missing, I may have to redo the entire party makeup. One of the reasons for this is having to have half the group be Seloise. So, again, please let me know ASAP if you won't be available Saturday.
Thanks, Paul
p.s. Andy, I would really like for you to be on the second Oerdain group. Any problems with that?

Ulaanbaatar can't hold onto money to save her life. Suloise to the bone, she's got a pocket full of jewelry looted from the Shattered Circle dungeon, and she wants to find a high-level Druid willing to cast permanent Faerie-fire on them, so they will be even MORE glittery and ostentatious. Can do..?? She wants to look good for the upcoming festivities.

Sage would tell Ulaanbaatur,
"The spell that you are looking for is continual faerie fire. It exists, but as far as I know only drow clerics have the spell. If I come across it I will let you know."
Later, Paul p.s. for everyone on the Pantheiad this weekend, please have your THACO, combat adds, savings throws, to hit and damage bonuses, etc. ready BEFORE the game on Saturday. It makes combat go a lot smoother for David.

None whatsoever! So... this game is the evening of the 18th? Looks like I'm free this weekend, but the 25th is the kickoff party for my race team.

You might want to let KK know that since I think that is the weekend for the Greek Trial to begin.

Comments:
Craig, with Shang's 22" move, three strikes per round, effective THAC0 of 15, and 2d8+2 dmg, he's REALLY good at putting mages down fast-and-hard. Before he leaves for this shindig, he's going to try to learn shield...thereby rendering him immune to magic missile! But, against "serious" fighters, Shang's not-so-hot; that's what Sindari and Cmarelkir are for!
Has Sage *SEEN* continual faerie fire when she was in Erelhui-Cinlu? If so, since Wee Jas has a number of "light" based spells, I would allow poaching with some minor research. At the very least, this conversation should now have taken place between Ulaanbaatar and Sage, so the idea is planted...
Otherwise, Ulaanbaatar will have to ask some (evil) drow VERY nicely...!
Paul is correct; having your THAC0, AC (front, side and read), saves, etc all worked out ahead of time WILL make my life run smoother Saturday. I'm throwing together this city adventure today. PLEASE take a look at the maps I sent and descriptions of the targets I posted!
Kari, I will need you to choose your target for the Greek Trial BEFORE the game begins on Saturday. If you need help, call us.
Elf, let me clarify, you are available this weekend but NOT next? If that's the case, I would recommend either doing the Egyptian Trial that weekend or playing Shadow Knights (again without Tyris-Flare). Preferences?

Ulaanbaatar will be happy to teach Shield. And... she's prepared to be VERY nice to a Drow to get that spell.

Yes, Sage has not only seen the spell, but cast it off a scroll while we were down there as well. She is very familiar with it and would love to add it to her spell list someday. However, that probably isn't going to help us Saturday.
By the way, if anyone has any ideas of where to attack first, etc. I would love to hear them. I will sexplain a little more Saturday when we do some roleplay.
I know this is a competition, but I think we should also remember that above ALL, this is a game and we should all have fun.

On the 27th of June, 616 Common Year, a force of Oerdians assembled to free the city of Admundfort from orcish control. Sage, Shang, Artec, and Laurel met up with Cmarelkir, Sindari, and Ulaanbaatar aboard a Rhennee vessel heading into port. Shortly after dawn, the heroes began helping the gypsies unload their cargo, using this activitiy to scout the area.
The armory was relatively unguarded, so the heroes dropped their crates and attacked. While the orcs went down quickly, the armory commander happened to be on-hand. He proved quite resiliant and managed to sound an alarm. The heroes then spent the next four or five minutes pacifying the building, slaughtering all but two dozen orcs who claimed mercy. Sage agreed to let them live if they fled, only to discover that the nearby barracks had used the time to mount an offensive -- few of the orcs escaped the rain of arrows from their fellows (orcs don't like traitors!).
The heroes, under cloak of invisibility charged out to warn the Rhenee. In their way were giants, ghouls, ghasts, ogres, orogs, and priests. The heroes managed to win the day, although Sindari was killed (but saved by Sage's elixir of health) in the melee. A number of Iuz' priests fled the field, rather than face Artec's arrows of death (the orcish archer had previously halted a force of five ogre-reinforcements by shooting out their knee caps over 100' away!)
Exhausted and nearly out of spells, the heroes warned the Rhennee, captured one of the six ships in the harbor, and sank the other five. With a bit of luck, the whole party escaped, having killed or driven off 17% of the occupying force -- 24 goblins, 22 hobgoblins, 10 worgs, 92 orcs, 8 orc captains, 47 orogs, 20 ogres, ALL 16 gargoyles, 4 trolls, 7 giants, 20 human fighters (one was 11th!), 10 priests of Iuz (one was a high priest), 6 mages, 12 skeletons, 3 zombies, 6 ghouls, ALL 6 ghasts, and ALL 8 carnivorous apes.
