Jazz: Sure, not a problem. Let me know if you don't already have any other items that could add to saves as well.

Slam DUNK! Jasmine is now spiritually attuned to Andar's tower gem (along with Andar, Mikhail/Chamois, Samandra, and [mentally] Aris). Samandra's gem is linked to Samandra, Mikhail/Chamois (both spiritually), Suevellia and Stephanos (both mentally), with a vacancy. The gem that Tyris=Flare USED to be able to use is attuned to Jessica and Brianna (mentally), but NO ONE else. The only other "free" gem is the Skota's.
Please note that so long as a given gem is on-world than anyone who is spiritually attuned to the gem can sense the presense of the gem and the existence of all others similarly attuned entities, whether in close proximity to the gem or not. So every time Andar returns to Oerth now, Samandra, Mikhail, and Jasmine will immediately know. Likewise, when Samandra comes to Oerth, Mikhail knows it. Finally, whoever is holding the gem can get an idea where anyone else connected to the gem is (vague direction and distance), although those with a superior connection can "hide"/mask themselves.

Not to hi-jack this thread...but follow-up topic on the tower gems...how do they work w/ Jessica's ability. I know that I have mastery of a gem as long as it exists on a given world. Am I a "bonus" addition to those gems that are full, am I automatically attuned to those with an open slot? Inquiring minds...

Haha - I was going to give David crap about that. I just figure that Kephalonia knows herself, so anything mentioned in a Kephalonia ID thread, she must know as well. I'll keep it in mind when she casts Sympathetic Magic in the future...those gems will come in handy.

Jessica has CONTROL of the Tower, as if she were in possession of the King's Staff (no one actually ever finished the adventure, hence why this sounds funny). You know what world the Tower/gem gestalt is on and can "remote pilot it" but have no particular bond to gems you haven't messed with. I would guess, however, that you would have an easier time attuning one.
I would imagine that Kephanlonia would ask Jasmine, Adama, and Mikhail a bunch of questions about the the tower gems, especially given her spell support for Jas' attunement. Although our alignments are at odds, we've known each other for a VERY long time, so I don't see anyone ('cept maybe Adama) holding back info on this. 8-P That said, the nature of Chamois/Mikhail is still a state-secret...which Keph has only a glimmer of...

Haha - actually Kephalonia knows Adama's body better than anyone except Adama herself...after all she did spend several months running around inside it...and its memory is why the Witch Kephalonia is actually capable if not downright handy with a longsword. An interesting tidbit that should be part of her character past.
Kephalonia would treat Jessica with all respect due an Oerdian hero (some, they aren't as good as Greeks obviously), and friend of Jasmine (some more)...particularly if the respect were returned. After all the gods have decreed this is a time of working together.
Overall, though, while Kephalonia has traveled to Eon and Menaua and has the power to return on her own should she so desire, she really does not have a lot of interest in dimensional traveling, particularly to alternate universes. She stuck it out on Oerth even while its destruction and fought to the last to save it, so this is where she belongs.
Her next trip off-world could potentially be to hell, where she feeds the liver of one of her unruly in-laws to Cerebrus, or sends them skinny-dipping in the river Styx.

Oh - and I have to thank everyone for staying up late and marrying off the blushing bride - that was a lot of fun. I'll have to work on a writeup for the whole affair. I'd like to work on a list of those characters that will be moving into the DiShane mansion with her. K+G Ophelia - Sister of the Dutchess Erik - 1st student Phoebe - 2nd student? Caius - Valet? (total of 3x2) Living there will be opulent and give good access to the city, but she will seriously put her foot down about anyone running in the back door with a mob, the watch, or a pack of assassins in tow. The mansion is a respectable house, not an adventurer hideout. As mentioned before, I'm planning to have Kephalonia spend some several months gametime settling into the house, adjusting its routine to suit her needs, visiting relatives, visiting local notables and generally doing the dutchess thing. Perhaps we can visit the DiShane lands in the Wolly Coast, stop off at Queen Elania's court and do some other sightseeing as well. While the Duke is 'hopelessly in love' with Kephalonia, he'll have to settle down a little too - it's much more pleasing to her for him to act cool in the presense of others, then revert to the howling crazy-smitten love beast in the bedroom.

Hmm I can think of someone else who has been a "howling crazy-smitten love beast", even in public occasionally. Do it again! And yes, Phoebe wants to be a witch. Either Hecate or Hades (like auntie O), I will need to do some research.

I'm not 100% sure how much game-time has passed, however, given a month or so of stability post-wedding (recall she has serious seer abilities both direct and indirect), she will become pregnant with The DiShane Heir, and it will be male.
The Duke and his mother and close friends will be know right away, but wraps will otherwise be kept on the little bundle of joy until a 'proper' announcement can be made in the appropriate upper class circles and nobility in Greyhawk. The DiShane Heir will be the first famous baby born after the apocalypse and be a sign of the further leadership of the family in that city's upper class.

"Keph, you always do it with style..." (Erik)
"Well, at least I hope you had fun in the process. Do let me know if you need a good midwife, sweatie." (Jasmine)
"And you folks mumble that MY people are manipulative...!" (Kiro)

For those that know her, Kephalonia would be uncharacteristically pleased with herself over the entire turn of affairs. As part of the nesting in process, she'd set up baby rooms (she'd particularly like Amanda's help with the touchy-feely stuff much to Gallows' disgust), she'd attend social functions (Erik as a Valet...Kiro too if he could be convinced to be relied upon) and generally act like the queen to be. Of course she'd keep after Erik to continue his studies and get to 1st level.
She'd also keep a close eye on Grandma and the other relatives for any sign of...discontent.
Although, just for face's sake she'll keep Philippe stashed in her house in Klarr, and hire some local Molly Maids to come weekly, since I'm sure he would not make a good housekeeper himself. His instructions are to HELP and COOPERATE with anyone working to kill followers of the EEG.
Jasmine - 'yes, I would really appreciate the help when the time comes. If you can spare the time, I would appreciate having you in Greyhawk for the last trimester.'
Kiro - 'I will use all the hellish powers at my command to ensure my child has a wonderful childhood...whether it be making it more likely a more favorable chance comes to him, or personally feeding his enemies to Cerberus...in bitty bite-sized chunks. I'm sure any good mother would do the same.'

I can also see her Dimentional Folding servants off to weird and exotic locations to fetch her food. If there's one roll I'm going to fudge, it's her having the munchies for bizarre things. I can see some bedraggled servant stumbling into a marketplace in Medegia with a handwritten shopping list. Later the entire house would be treated to Pastitso or Baklava or Uzo as the Dutchess' desire changed to something else. Oh, and where is the nearest temple to Aphrodite? Best to keep up with donations there.

Howdy Elf,
A couple of things...
Does this mean that Kephalonia has gotten the murder charges on Erik "dismissed"? Also, what of the necromancer that is after the boy? Kiro can easily suppy some hair...
Assuming that you've socially dealt with the former and buffalloed the later, then Erik is more than happy to hang out and continue his training under you. He is, however, already well on his way since he's now a 3rd level witch of Hecate.
As for Kiro, he makes a point of showing he doesn't take orders from ANYONE. He's happy to volunteer, but doesn't like to be told what to do. That said, he seems for more eager and agreeable when Amanda asks him for something. Oh, and he makes it clear, he is totally wise to Gallows but will happily EAT him if the bird gives him any cause..."my parents held your same world view, familiar..."

Once the announcement about the bundle of joy has been made, and Keph is close to her due date, Amanda eagerly goes about planning a baby shower for Kephalonia... Amanda would ask Kephalonia who she would like to invite, the guest list, I anticipate the guest list would include the Duke's mother & grandmother (it's tradition...even if they are EViiiiiiiiL), sisters, etc...Kephalonia's female family, friends, (possibly students & associates, and Akbeth??)....the wives or girlfriends of male friends... Kiro (if he wants to be a chick for a day...plus, someone may try and kill me while we're there! lol ) Amanda would start off w/ the traditional game of guess the mommy's tummy size...each person has to cut off a piece of string which they think will match the momma's girth...the one closest wins a prize... We could then move to Pin the Baby on the Mommy....now this could be tricky as some guests may try to pin actual babies on kephalonia using daggers, hat pins, short swords, etc... We'll have to very clearly spell out the rules BEFOREHAND... And no baby shower would be complete without, Pass the Dirty Diaper...we order in some fine chocolate, melt it, then put in a diaper. Everyone sits in a circle and passes the diaper around while music plays...when the music stops, the person holding the diaper is out...game continues until a winner is crowned... (No, Kiro...you don't get to eat the chocolate!!) I imagine it will be one of those events that people suffer through for the sake of "appearances" But Amanda will do her level best to make it entertaining and fun... What do y'all think... Kari aka: --Amanda (party planner) --Gwen, Cleric of Aphrodite (I imagine she's on the guest list ) --Darya (probably NOT on the guest list, but I imagine she will get her hands on an invitation...hey, Jyoli, want to be my +1?? Or, rather, maybe I can be yours?? )

Well, after a bit of role-play, it appears that Erik can now walk the streets of Greyhawk once again. EXCELLENT! Once in a while there are two Eriks at the same time, in fact...
Jasmine is currently "away from the area". Her husband, Stephanos, says she's on a mission for the gods and cannot return until the fate of the Thursday night game is decided -er- she finishes up or fails in the attempt. Maybe living with horsemouth isn't so bad...8-(
Have you SEEN Sleeping Beauty? NOT inviting Akbeth would be VERY BAD...! Now, a visit from the Ruby Witch is liable to have other consequences, but that's what makes life interesting...8->
