No wonder no one can manage a decent shot of Bigfoot or the Abominable Snowman; a little camouflage totally fools electronics! Well, that and the fact that they're NOT REAL!

Actually, I could very much believe that there are still a number of species which have evaded detection up until the present. Now, I'm no cryptozoology nut, but if you take a couple of simple premises, than it makes sense...
If you assume that legends and myths have at their root some kernel of truth which they are attempting to explain, then we're left with why disparate populations on both sides of the Pacific have similar stories about similar creatures. Don't forget, these regions have been linked in the past. Add to this that, unlike Africa and Europe, the majority of these regions have large pockets of wilderness untouched by humans (in terms of evolutionary time) and that prior to the rise of Homo sapiens, there were MANY different semi-sentient hominids we shared the planet with. Most anthropologists and paleontologists plead "no contest" to the theory that 200,000 years ago, our "evolutionary-cousins" were either marginalized to starvation or downright hunted down and killed by our own ancestors. So, any surviving hominids would naturally evolve a VERY strong aversion to interaction with humans, else they'd already be dead. Suddenly stealthy Bigfoot and Snowmen make sense. And, just using my cougar story as a template, you can EASILY have a large predator living within a few football fields of human habitations without being found (I could see homes beyond the puma -- the panorama was from the peak; I saw the mountain lion about a half mile lower/later). Now make the predator at least semi-sentient, and I would not in any way be surprised that it could elude us and all our technology. We are, after all, a pretty wussy species without our gizmos and inventions.
Don't even start me on the scientific evidence for other hominids species, nor the "unidentified DNA" found in "Bigfoot hair", nor that just 10 years or so, we discovered two new large mammals in adjacent ecosystems in SE Asia.
So, for me, you can make a case for Nessie, but likely s/he's died out by now due to lack of viable breeding partners to propetuate the species. But, a smart, shy, tool-using creature afraid of humans and relegated to the regions we normally avoid anyway? Cougars prey on our livestock and had to LEARN to fear us...another hominid would likely have such a lesson as an inbred instinct and thus Daniel Boone, John Fremont, and Lewis and Clark would never have caught a glimpse. Works for me...

Looks like I'm gonna go out with a bang. ;D
You scored as Bomb.
Your death will be by bombing. You will probably be an innocent bystander, not doing anything wrong and not a person who was targeted at, just in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Bomb 73% Natural Causes 73% Disappear 53% Eaten 40% Suicide 33% Poison 33% Stabbed 33% Gunshot 27% Disease 27% Accident 20% Cut Throat 20% Suffocated 7% Drowning 0%

Let me get this straight (plannng guy, y'see): you rounintely go to what we city=dwellers would consider a "wilderness area" to walk your dog... and DON'T already have the Rangers' numbers in your phone.
Yep, yep, YEP! Gonna die out there for sure! You were lucky, THIS time. Problem is... YOU have to be lucky EVERY time. Mister C only has to get lucky ONCE!

You scored as Natural Causes. Your death will be by natural causes, though not by any diseaese, because that is another option on this test. You will probably just silently pass away in the night from old age, and people you love won't realize until the next morning, when you are all purple and cold and icky. So be happy, you won't be murdered. Natural Causes 67% Suicide 53% Gunshot 40% Poison 33% Cut Throat 33% Disappear 33% Disease 33% Drowning 33% Eaten 33% Stabbed 33% Bomb 20% Accident 20% Suffocated 0% Well now that's a relief...glad we got that sorted out! lol Ivy

Ah yes too true, too true. I think it's rather handy in that sense that we don't live closer together. We might stir up more trouble if we did! LOL Ivy
